The visits
• Blegny-Mine
• 10:00 hrs: guided tour of the authentic
Blegny-Mine coalmine. Go down the mineshaft
in the miners’ cage to the underground galleries
to explore the equipment used for sorting
and washing the coal mined.

Free tour of the mining
• 12:00 hrs: transfer in your coach or by tourist
train (additional charge) to the Visé landing
(± 8 km).
• River Cruise
• 12:30 hrs: cruise on board the river boat “Pays
de Liège”, taking you through the Monsin lock.

Opening hours: Open every day from 19/02 to
30/11/2011. Reservations required.
Free of charge: Driver and group leader or monitor free
of charge.
Capacity: 30 to 220 persons (reservations for groups
of fewer than 30 persons can be accepted if a prior
reservation has been made for the same date).
Variations: the visit to Val Saint-Lambert can be
replaced with visit to Ramioul prehistory site, the
“Maîtres du Feu (Masters of Fire)” (Amay) or by
a stop in Liège with, for example, a visit to the
Blegny-Mine:

The hot menu can be replaced by a country buffet
(same price, with single drink including): assortment
of cold meats and regional cheeses,
served with crudités, potatoes and bread.

• Val Saint-Lambert Crystal Factory
• 15:30 hrs: tour of Val Saint-Lambert. Come
and find out about the skills and knowledge
of the glass-makers, who have been fashioning
their raw materials into prestigious pieces
for the past two centuries. Your guide will take
you through the
workshop to watch
them at work. He
will explain the
various techniques
used, as well as the
history, development
and transformation
of this
remarkable location
- Tour ending
by a glass blowing
demonstration.
Metallurgy Centre, the Museum of Walloon Life,
the Grand Curtius, the aquarium or a guided tour
in the city.
The Mine visit can be replaced by a visit to the
Wool and Fashion Centre (Centre de la Laine et de
la Mode).
Prices are adjusted according to the variations.
You are responsible for transfers.
Access: motorway E40 exit 36 (Blegny)or motorway E25
exit 2 (Visé), first follow the signs to Dalhem, then
brown signs to Blegny-Mine.
Coach park: 30 places at Blegny-Mine
• 17:00 hrs: end of the programme at Val Saint-
Lambert (no organized return).
• ‘Iron and steel’ cruises
from 19/02 to 30/11/2011
• 14:30 hrs: departure from Passerelle Saucy in
Liège. Towards Seraing then Chertal to discover
the traces of the Liège iron and steel industry of
yesterday and today.
• 17:30 hrs: return to Passerelle Saucy
