This Benchtopmodel has a rectangular stainless steel chamber making optimum use of the space available. Thebrand new Touchclave-R Touchscreen control system provides the user with an even greater choice ofcontrol options, which further increases this product’s versatility.Design FeaturesSteam is generated by heating water in a reservoir within the chamber, which allows for the steam tobe displaced upwards. Protection against low water level is ensured by a cut-out device.Programmable Control SystemThe Falcon 30 is available with a choice of control systems. The Uni-program system is ideal where thesame cycle is repeated regularly. The operator simply keys in the parameters once. These parametersare then stored in the memory until altered. As an alternative, a versatile multi-program Touchscreencontrol system has been introduced on the Falcon 30.

Control SystemsMulti-program (Touchscreen)Falcon Touchclave-R sterilizers are equipped with a control system which incorporatesa powerful PLC combined with an easy to use Touchscreen, through which allcommands, cycle data, program data and alarms are inputted and displayed.This versatile system gives users a choice of selecting load-specific cycles from a menuor developing their own cycle profile. Eight cycles can be stored into the memory asstandard and optional memory expansion is available to increase the number ofavailable cycles to twenty.Load Specific Cycles - are selected by pressing the appropriate ‘on-screen’ cycle titleicon and then following the on-screen instructions. The cycles are pre-programmed tooptimize air removal and cooling profiles for each load type. Various parameters can beadjusted to suit the necessary application requirements. There is also the option tochange the cycle title.Once the programs are stored in the memory, starting the cycle could not be easier. Acycle menu is brought up on screen, allowing the required cycle to be selected. Forthose who need their cycles to be traceable, there is a facility to input operator ID andBatch information at this stage. There is also a facility to program a delayed cycle start,which is particularly useful for maximising the use of the sterilizer. During the cycle,information is constantly displayed on the Touchscreen. Every stage of the cycle carriesa different information screen.A fully integrated thermal paper printer, tractor printer or chart recorder is available asan option, if a hard copy print out is required for relevant cycle information.It is possible to add internal data archiving as an option to all Falcon models.On completing a successful cycle, the screen will show the ‘Passed’ display. If a faultoccurs during the cycle, ‘Failed’ will be displayed on the screen, with details of the faultconditions highlighted on a separate screen. This can be accessed by the operator, butonly acknowledged by those with a supervisor access code. All fault conditions will alsobe printed where applicable.Options(see table for more details)A number of specific options can be addedto the Falcon range. These include:• NHS Upgrade Package – A number ofadditional features can be incorporatedinto the autoclave to bring it in line withthe specific requirements of HTM2010.This can be discussed on anindividual basis.• Effluent Retention – This option shouldbe specified where cat.3 material is beingprocessed.
