It is anexcellent presentation indeed and as weeither “re-live” these programs since weattended them OR we relish them throughdetailed articles and photographs thatdepict the programs so very truly.We read your May- June 2010 issue withfervor. Noted the change in leadership,read a well written “last message” by outgoingChairman, Mr. Sunil Singh and thefirst message from incoming Chairman Mr.Siddharth Balachandran who has promised“continuous improvement” and “sustainedExcellence” by his new team. Soft and friendlydemeanor of staff acrossthe club hierarchy, arrangingon continuousbasis programs for differentage group, tastes, culturesand regional interest,sports, health, leisure and lectures youname it, it is all very much there!!It was nice of Club to arrange a tour toJordan which was a great success, ourfriends told us. Had to be. We had been toJordan but wanted to visit again but the vagariesof working life did not permit us tovisit second time. Our loss indeed.Must confess that we were disappointedto see an “inadequate” coverage of the tourin our Magazine. A travelogue of Jordanand no photo of PETRA--the most dramaticSIQ leading to world famous and ancient“The treasury” monument. Petra is one ofthe modern wonders of the world and infact, in our opinion, deserves to be on themagazine cover and you too will agree. Inher winning letter, Mrs. MariaGupta aptly, albeit briefly,described Petra. but thenthe accompanying photo isnot of famous SIQ or Petramain building where IndianaJones third movie LASTCRUSADE was shot andmade it world famous.We had taken quitea few photos of PETRAand also other places includingDEAD SEA andWADI RUM, the LAW-RENCE OF ARABIA fame.And also of the mostfamous MOSAICS of Jordan.I believe my photos are good andworth sharing with others.
