The $85 fee includes <strong>OSFMA</strong> membership, Thursdayworkshops, luncheon and speaker, and the vendor trade show.Conference Financial Assistance ProgramThe Financial Assistance Program was created as a meansof assisting facilities managers achieve greater professionalexpertise through membership in <strong>OSFMA</strong> when funding isnot available through their school district or other means.Individuals wishing to request financial assistance pleasecontact your Zone Director.Next year is going to be tough for each and every one ofus, therefore making it more important for everyone to stayinvolved with <strong>OSFMA</strong>. The association can provide networking,training, and contacts. <strong>School</strong> Districts, large and small, all havecommon issues and concerns. Take advantage of the expertknowledge from school members, or vendor members, to helpsolve issues. I ask that our Zone Directors set a goal to haveat least two zone meetings next year and poll the membersabout the issues they need addressed. I encourage other schooldistrict facilities managers to learn more about <strong>OSFMA</strong> byattending a zone meeting.During my tenure as the <strong>OSFMA</strong> President, I have had theopportunity to work with the Board to create a Mini Conference.The Mini Conferences will assist our members with anopportunity to encourage and support their employees. Zone 3will be hosting the Mini-Conference on October 14, 2011. TheMini-Conference is free to attendees, and is open to all zonesand school districts. The Mini-Conference targets employeesthat have a potential of promotion to Leadership positionswithin your District.As I finish my year as the <strong>OSFMA</strong> President I want to thankall of you for your support. I have had a wonderful experienceworking among great leaders of <strong>OSFMA</strong>. Nine workshops were presented, and RussellSadler, noted newspaper columnist, was the speaker at the banquet dinner. Ten vendors attended the first conference displayingservices and products.
