VACAVILLE, Calif. - PGA Assistant Golf Professional <strong>Brad</strong> <strong>Martin</strong> of <strong>The</strong> <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Club</strong><br />
in San Francisco, Calif. won the Northern California TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA<br />
Assistant Professional Championship at Saddle Creek Resort (Par 72) in<br />
Copperopolis, Calif.<br />
<strong>Martin</strong> and second place finisher, PGA Assistant Professional Eric Goettsch of Tehama<br />
Golf <strong>Club</strong> in Carmel, Calif., qualified for the 2007 TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA<br />
Assistant Professional Championship, October 25-28, 2007 at Wanamaker Course at<br />
<strong>The</strong> PGA Golf <strong>Club</strong>.<br />
<strong>Martin</strong> posted a final-round <strong>69</strong> for a tournament total of <strong>137</strong> and a 2-stroke victory<br />
over Goettsch. <strong>Martin</strong> also tied for 1 st place in the 2007 NCPGA Pro Series 1, and<br />
earned 1 st place, with partner Chris Stein of <strong>The</strong> <strong>Olympic</strong> <strong>Club</strong>, in the 2006 and 2007<br />
NCPGA Pro-Assistant Championship, and won the NCPGA 2007 Pro-Scramble.<br />
<strong>The</strong> 120-man field for this year's 31 st edition of the PGA Assistant Professional<br />
Championship consists of the 2006 Champion, 116 assistant professionals from a<br />
weighted average of total entries of the 41 PGA Sections and a representative from<br />
the Australian PGA, the PGA of Great Britain and the Canadian PGA. <strong>The</strong> winner of<br />
the 2007 TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Assistant Professional Championship earns<br />
$9,000 out of the purse of $100,000.<br />
