While theblast cabinet is in operation,the collector draws dust anddirty air from the cabinet intothe canister where the heavierparticles are deposited into thebottom of the barrel housing.The air is then drawn throughthe filter which removes thefiner dust particles. This process isalso commonly referred to as etching.The actual etching process is controlled byattaching an abrasive blast resistant mask onthe item to be blasted. The detail of this maskcreates the highly detailed etched areas in theobject.
