OPPORTuNiTY
YWCA Toronto knows that the barriers many women
face, such as poverty, abuse, discrimination and
limited education, are significant. We also know they
are not insurmountable.
In 2009, 20,271 people accessed one of our twelve
employment programs across Toronto.
Our programs are effective because we customize
our services to meet the needs of the individual
women seeking our help. Many of the women who
find employment support at the YWCA also link to
or connect with other resources they need such as
counselling and housing.
