Lantana montevidensis (creeping <strong>lantana</strong>)Purple or lilac flowers with white or yellow centresgenerally indicate another weedy species, Lantanamontevidensis, or creeping <strong>lantana</strong>. L. montevidensisis a scrambling low woody shrub that is invasive incoastal and subcoastal areas. It features:• stems that are square in cross-section, andwithout prickles• leaves up to three centimetres long• short, profusely flowering branches that form mats.This manual deals only with L. camara.
