The classic seaside resort of
Hunstanton, or ‘Hunston’ as it
is known locally, is renowned
for its award-winning beach,
unique striped cliffs and
magnificent sunsets, made
special by its position as the
only west-facing resort on the
east coast.
There are two sides to Hunstanton, the
elegant Victorian resort with its
Esplanade Gardens and sedate air of a
traditional resort and the buzzing family
resort with attractions such as the Oasis
Leisure Centre, Crazy Golf and Pitchand-Putt
Course. You can take a boat
trip to see the seals, visit the Sea Life
Sanctuary, try the water sports, check out
the Princess Theatre, or enjoy the
Funfair and seaside amusements.
Past the stunning cliffs, Old
Hunstanton has more of a village feel,
with cottages built of Norfolk carrstone,
pubs, hotels and an excellent beach.
You can walk from one resort to the
other, so you can enjoy the buzz of the
resort in the morning then spend a lazy
afternoon lying amongst the dunes.

SOME SAFETY TIPS
● Black-and-white chequered flags indicate an
area of water for use by water craft. Do not
swim or bathe in this zone.
● Children’s inflatables should always have a line
connected, held securely by an adult on the shore.
● Remember to protect yourself against the
sun’s rays. Slip on a shirt, slap on a hat and
slop on sunscreen.
● Always check the tide before you enter the
water.
