VDCP is a control protocol (usually via RS-422), invented in<br />
the mid-90es by Leitch (now Harris)<br />
Automation compatibility:<br />
• Harris ADC100/125: working<br />
• Aveco Astra: live on air in March ’11 (plus some API extras)<br />
• Pebble Beach Neptune: working<br />
• others: most likely to work out of the box<br />
New: VDCP ingest<br />
• however: switch between ingest and playout has to be made<br />
manually (will change in future)<br />
