Wissner-<strong>bosserhoff</strong> <strong>GmbH</strong>, founded in<br />
1952 and based in Wickede on the Ruhr<br />
River, is a mid-sized company with long<br />
tradition. With development, production<br />
and worldwide distribution, the<br />
furniture manufacturer specializes in<br />
the nursing home and hospital fields.<br />
In the 2006/2007 fiscal year, with<br />
around 100 staff, the company achieved<br />
a turnover of EUR 37.6 million.<br />
The <strong>wissner</strong>-<strong>bosserhoff</strong> group has an export<br />
share of approx. 50%. Last year, with<br />
subsidiary Linet spol. s.r.o. located in Slany,<br />
near Prague, the company produced<br />
46,000 beds and around 30,000 bedside<br />
cabinets for the in-patient geriatric care<br />
and hospital areas, which corresponds to<br />
combined consolidated sales of around<br />
EUR 85 million. Additional sales locations<br />
have been set up in Belgium and<br />
the Netherlands. Branches in France and<br />
Spain will follow in 2007. The maxim „Furniture<br />

the new „sentida“ lie-low bed, introduced<br />
for the first time at the Altenpflege +<br />
ProPflege trade fair in March 2007. Since<br />
opening on 1 September 2006, the new<br />
exhibition forum has proven its worth in<br />
reinforcing Wickede as the company‘s<br />
main site, attracting national and international<br />
customers in large numbers. In the<br />
main location for the production of retirement<br />
and nursing home facilities in Wickede,<br />
the company is planning to increase<br />
the number of employees to around<br />
120 for the 2007/08 fiscal year, focusing<br />
on strengthening the marketing, strategic<br />
purchasing, quality assurance and<br />
quality management areas in particular.<br />
Production is expected to take on five<br />
new employees which, with corresponding<br />
investment, will raise its capacity<br />
to a production volume of around 16,000<br />
beds for nursing homes in 2007/2008.<br />

in the right quantity and at the right<br />
moment (just-in-time principle). The prerequisite<br />
for this is simplification of the<br />
ERP-supported communication through<br />
the clear marking of what is required and<br />
