2. Notes:a. The programme fee includes the cost of the study material forentire course offered by the Centre for Distance Education.b. Completion of a course requires successful clearing of theexamination in each course.c. The course fees are to be paid by way of demand draft/banker’scheque in favour of “North Eastern Hill University”, Shillongpayable at State Bank of India, NEHU. The names of candidate andprogramme, and application number should be written on thereverse of the demand draft/banker’s cheque.d. For all other Centres except the Centre for Distance Education, thefees as prescribed in Table 1 apply.18CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION TO FOREIGN STUDENTSI. Foreign students seeking admission under (i) Cultural ExchangeFellowship programme of Govt. of India or (ii) those financing theirstudies on their own shall have to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteriafor admission to various programmes of study of NEHU.II.III.IV.The applicants shall apply in a prescribed form by the month of Januaryevery year for the academic session beginning in August of the year withan application fee of US$ 25/- (Twenty five) payable to ‘Finance Officer,North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, India’.The admission to any programme of study of a department/centre shall besubject to the following conditions:-a. Equivalence of their qualifications as prescribed by the Universityfor various programmes of study;b. Health clearance certificate from competent authority of theoriginating country;c. Possession of a valid visa for the purpose;d. Recommendation of the concerned department/centre of North-Eastern Hill University.Admission to short term students (not leading to award of anydegree/diploma/certificate) may be granted by the Central Committee forAdmission of Foreign Students, following the guidelines of Govt. of India,on fulfilling following requirements:a. Valid visa for the purpose;b. Health clearance certificate from competent authority of theoriginating country;c. Recommendation of the concerned department/centre of NEHU.FEES PAYABLE BY A STUDENT FOR DIFFERENT DEGREESI. Students admitted to a course of study leading to award of a M.
