K-Patents Sanitary <strong>OEM</strong>Refractometer <strong>PR</strong>-<strong>33</strong>-<strong>AC</strong> is designed tomeet the needs of original equipmentmanufacturers (<strong>OEM</strong>s) and integratorsserving beverage, dairy and foodprocessing industries.The Sanitary <strong>OEM</strong> Refractometer hasa measurement range of 0 to 100Brix and provides a 4–20 mA outputsignal proportional to the temperaturecompensated Brix value for real-timeprocess control.The Sanitay <strong>OEM</strong> Refractometer sensoris installed in the main processing lineand no by-pass arrangements arerequired. The sensor is angle mountedin the outer corner of the pipe benddirectly or through a flow cell or aSanitary clamp. This way the best fl owconditions and self-cleaning effect canbe achieved. The sensor can also bemounted with a Varivent® connection.The Sanitary <strong>OEM</strong> Refractometer isSanitary 3-A approved and EHEDGtested to meet the highest hygienerequirements of food production. It withstandsthe rigors of food processing suchas process temperatures up to 130°C(265°F), CIP and SIP processes andcleaning and rinsing of facilities.The Sanitary <strong>OEM</strong> Refractometer isfactory calibrated to measure Brix andtemperature in standard units. The Sanitary<strong>OEM</strong> determines the concentration ofdissolved solids by making an opticalmeasurement of a solution’s refractiveindex n D. The measurement is automaticallytemperature compensated.The measurement accuracy is n D+0.0002 and repeatability is n D+0.0001, which result in repeatabilityof +0.05 Brix. The same accuracy andrepeatability are provided across thefull measurement range of 0–100 Brix.The output values of the sensor aretransmitted through a 4–20 mA outputand an Ethernet connection by using aUDP/IP protocol.The measurement is not infl uenced bybubbles, particles, sugar crystals, seeds,fi bres, color or temperature and pressurechanges in the process medium.K-Patents' manufacturing process is ISO9001 certifi ed.
