STAr Of ThE fuTurE DruMIllEr lOuGh Capt David O’Brien riding Drumiller lough competing at the Dublin horse Show in 2009 Drumiller Lough is a seven year old gelding (2003) by the Dutch Warmblood Stallion, Heartbreaker and out of a mare by the Registered Irish Draught Stallion, Mountain Pearl. The Army Equitation School purchased Drumiller Lough as a four year old in 2007. Since then Capt David O’Brien & Drumiller Lough have achieved success in the Young Horse Classes on the National Circuit which include 4th place in the 5 Year Old Final at the Dublin Horse Show 2008, 2nd place in the 6 Year Old Final at the Dublin Horse Show 2009 & 2009 National 6 year Old Champion. In 2009 Drumiller Lough & Capt O’Brien represented the Irish Bred Sport Horse at International level at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken winning the silver medal in the 6 Year Old Final. Again in 2010, Drumiller Lough and Capt O’Brien represented the Irish Sport Horse in the 7 Year Old Final at the World Breeding Championships. 27
