On the Cover:Varanus rosenbergiThe juvenile Varanus rosenbergi depicted on the cover and insetof this issue was photographed by Barry Hatton in RoyalNational Park, NSW on the morning of 10 October 2006. Thespecimen (ca. 25-28 cm in total length) was first noticed beneatha shrub in the heathland of the park while photographing a whipsnake (Demansia psammophis). The V. rosenbergi was approachable,and allowed photographs to be taken from a distance of lessthan a meter.
