When I finally took a look at whatwas happening, I noticed that I was only photographing when Iwas traveling and that my travels were becoming more and moreinfrequent. Realizing the need to pick up the camera with no tripson the horizon, I spent $499 on the best lens I have ever purchased,a 105 micro (a fixed focal length lens with a very shallow depth offield). It was like a new passport and a ticket around the world. Ibegan to take small journeys more frequently – journeys into thedepths of the simple things around me: bugs, creatures and flowers. In these works, one cansee the beginnings ofmy travels into eachexotic blossom and, hopefully, the momentof enlightenment thatall seasoned travelersexperience whenexploring a new placefor the first time.”— McGinnis LeathersVo l u n t e e r Op p o r t u n i t i e s in Th e Li b r a r yThe Library is in need of volunteers!
