An interactive styleguide gives backgroundinformation to the exhibition.The Function of BuildingsThe way buildings are usedaffects what they look like <strong>and</strong>how they are made. Models <strong>and</strong>interactives explore the keythemes of Home,Work, PublicBuildings <strong>and</strong> Climate.+++++++++++++++++++++++Process of DesignExamples of work <strong>and</strong> objectsproduced during the course ofdesigning <strong>and</strong> making abuilding. Ranging from drawingsto drawing instruments, itexplains the different stages ofdesigning <strong>and</strong> constructingbuildings.An adjacent gallery will presenta programme of changingexhibitions, giving a furtheropportunity to show some ofthe superb works held in eachcollection.+++++++++++++++++++++++Private viewsThere will be private views of thenew galleries for educators(Friday 19 November,18.30–21.00) <strong>and</strong> for students(Wednesday 1 December,18.30–20.30).
