HORESTA is the national trade association for hotels, restaurants and the

Primary tasks:
• Responsible for the classification of 600 hotels, conference facilities, holiday centers and
congress facilities as well as facilitating various tourist labeling schemes
• Responsible for the departments of The Green Key, Danish Tourist Attractions and
The Accessibility Association
• Responsible for HORESTA’s international relations regarding hotel classification, standards
(including the liaison with HotelStars Union and HOTREC) and hotel fire safety
• Enhancing and encouraging a higher quality level among HORESTA’s member hotels
including standards compliance evaluations
• In charge of strategic planning and project management of classification developments and
international cooperation
• Giving advice to the industry stakeholders on trends, standards and customer quality
• Responsible for HORESTA’s sales and marketing activities
• Responsible for the implementation and development of HORESTA’s membership benefits
