<strong>Esscano</strong> <strong>Power</strong> are proud to offer complete damper system solutions for all types of industrial dampers.<br />

Our expertise stems from the Scan-Bi-Com company which was founded in 1976 and supplied both<br />

individual dampers and damper system solutions all over the World. In 2002 Scan-Bi-Com was acquired<br />

by <strong>Esscano</strong> <strong>Power</strong>, and our continual references display <strong>Esscano</strong> <strong>Power</strong>s´ International experience as<br />

damper suppliers, consulting engineers and trouble shooters for various damper applications.<br />

Our dampers are specifi cally and individually designed for the desired purpose. The units are supplied<br />

complete with comprehensive manuals for installation, commissioning and maintenance in accordance<br />

to our Quality Management Handbook.<br />

We supply: <strong>Dampers</strong>, individually designed for any application, manufactured from various materials<br />

including duplex stainless steels and fi breglass.<br />

We offer: Advice, design, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning, repairs and maintenance.<br />

Types: Louvre dampers, 3 way diverter dampers, fl aps, butterfl y dampers, biplane dampers, non-return<br />

fl aps, stack dampers, guillotine dampers, diesel/gas engine dampers, fi re dampers, sliding gates, silo<br />

dampers, inlet guide vane dampers.<br />

Special Types: Special damper units for the food processing industry or other sanitary applications,<br />

100% sealing dampers without seal air, collaboration designed dampers.<br />

Applications: Filter systems, fl ue gas cleaning, gas turbine, boiler and diesel plants, process- and<br />

cement industry, plus Refi nery and Offshore installations.<br />

Sizes: Max. dimension on DN 6000 mm or 5000 x 8000 mm.<br />

Temperatures: From -80˚C to +1100˚C<br />

Tightness: As per customer requirements, up to 100% sealing can be achieved with or without sealing<br />

air. All types are ambient tight.<br />

Actuators: Manual, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, all available from any manufacturer.<br />

Accessories: Ducts, expansion joints, electrical junction boxes, limit switches etc.<br />

Service: Repair and modifi cation on any make of damper.<br />

Design and Engineering Capabilities<br />

To ensure that our in house engineering experience is delivered to customers in the most<br />

effective way <strong>Esscano</strong> <strong>Power</strong> has invested in the latest technology tools. Our capabilities in<br />

design and engineering include:<br />

Solid Works<br />

All dampers are designed using Solid Works 3D modelling. This<br />

ensures the product is functionally correct and all of the produc-<br />

tion drawings will be fully in accordance with the designed damper.<br />

Cosmos<br />

Where necessary designs are interrogated using COSMOS fi nite element and Structural<br />

Design Analysis to ensure the optimum design to meet the customers requirements.<br />

Designs can be done in accordance with DIN, EN, DS, ISO, API standards.


Butterfl y <strong>Dampers</strong><br />

Single blade dampers.<br />

Used for on/off fl ow control.<br />

FLAP ISOLATOR and DIVERTER DAMPERS<br />

These dampers are typically used for isolation and gas-fl ow changeover operations. They are characterised<br />

by their very low leakage rates, achieving 99,98% sealing effi ciency per unit surface area. Our seal<br />

air pressure system with a highly effective fl exible metallic twin seal, ensures zero leakage in line with<br />

accident prevention legislation.<br />

Flap isolators and diverter dampers for fl ue gas desulphurisation plants are supplied in stainless steel<br />

or alternatively internal surfaces can be lined with glass fl ake or rubber coatings. These corrosion protection<br />

measures enable us to offer cost-effective solutions for applications involving one-sided exposure<br />

to aggressive gases.<br />

<strong>Esscano</strong> <strong>Power</strong> have developed their own special blade and seal system for operation in de-nox plants<br />

and systems handling dust-laden fl ue gas at temperatures above 400˚C. For gas turbine plants linked to<br />

waste heat recovery boilers, the isolator blades and inside the housing can be thermally insulated to<br />

minimise radiation losses.<br />
