Thegenerous alumni and friends listed here are an important part of thebroad community of support that helps to move Mines forward as wepursue our strategic goals for the future. Charlie NcNeil ’71 deserves aspecial thanks for excellent work in his second year as national President’sCouncil chair, as do the dedicated volunteers listed here; with theirtime, talent and resources, we propelled the Council to unprecedentedsuccess in 2007-2008.You helped set an all-time record for President’s Council membershipthis year – 762 of you joined the Council with an investment in ColoradoSchool of Mines. Along with growth in the number of overall Councilmembers, 2007-2008 saw an increase in young alumni participationas well. Almost 80 Mines graduates from the class years of 1999-2007joined the Randall Society of the President’s Council through our specialyoung alumni giving program, helping to build a solid foundation ofsupport for the future.As we enter our 135th year here at Mines, private support is moreimportant than ever. Your support is truly an essential piece of theschool’s success, enabling us to continue to attract the best faculty andthe brightest students to this institution.
