***INTERNET CAUTIONS***
The Internet is a wonderful tool to find information
regarding just about every subject area, including
diabetes. However, this material is uncensored.
Check for disclaimers when visiting a website. Be
careful when purchasing products. For example,
purchasing insulin and having it shipped by
conventional methods may expose it to extreme cold
or heat. Before changing any medications or insulin,
consult with your health care provider. Be cautious of
vitamins, minerals, herbs and alternative medicines.
Discuss any new information or products with your
health care provider before trying them. Some of
these substances may actually worsen your condition.
Many of these websites offer products that may not
be supported by the American Diabetes Association.
