The Coiled Tubing Choke
Offered with 1" flow orifice trim. Pressure ranges are from 5,000 to 10,000 PSI with
flanged connection sizes in 2 1 /16" and 2" Fig 1502 Hammer Unions.
The 11 /2" Orifice Trim Choke
Offered in pressure ranges from 5,000 to 20,000 PSI. Connection sizes also vary
from 1 13 /16" through 4 1 /16".
The 2" Orifice Trim Choke
Offered in pressure ranges from 5,000 through 20,000 PSI. Connection sizes range
from 1 13 /16" through 4 1 /16".
The 3" Orifice Trim Choke
Offered in pressure ranges from 5,000 through 15,000 PSI. Connection sizes range
from 2 1 /16" through 4 1 /16".
Features:
• Pressure Balanced Trim
Trim is pressure balanced to reduce operating forces, whether the choke is operated
manually or automatically. Large balance ports provide protection against clogging
• Reversible Trim
Gate and seat may be reversed in the field should wear occur in service,
providing double trim life
• Choke Body
Choke body is of forged construction, API 75k material, impact tested. Stainless steel
clad ring grooves are a standard option
• Actuator
Power Chokes are available with the exclusive modified worm gear actuator, hydraulic,
piston, electric or manual actuator. Manual override on all worm gears
• Seat Leakage
Each Power Choke is seat-tested prior to shipment to achieve drop tight sealing per
API 16C testing requirements. This exceeds ANSI B16.104 Class V (FCI 70-2)
leakage requirements, without the use of O-rings or other soft sealing elements in
the gate-to-seat seal design
• Solid Tungsten Carbide Gate And Seat
Provides high erosion-resistance and extended trim life. Gate and seat are
precision ground to provide drop tight shutoff without being a matched set.
No lapping required
• Solid Tungsten Carbide Downstream Wear Sleeve
Full-length wear sleeve provides wear protection downstream of the seat, and
supplies a smooth transition for fluid into the downstream piping

Drilling

Continuous operation of production chokes, as well as the
crucial service requirements during extended well and inline
production tests demands they be rugged and reliable – and

Frac Flowbacks
Post-frac well cleanups usually involve extremely abrasive
flowing conditions and are often unpredictable. Rugged and
precise, Power Chokes easily control the frac operation while
minimizing equipment damage and project cost.
Coiled Tubing
Coiled-tubing operations require precise control in a very
mobile, low flow rate application. A Power Choke, specifically
designed for coiled tubing operations where large flow
capabilities are not required, can be powered by using a
self-contained power unit or by the CT unit hydraulics.
Well Control
Well control situations require the most reliable and safe

Choke Control and Drilling Consoles
We provide much more than just the severe service drilling and production chokes to your
challenging oilfield operation. Our experience in the engineering, design and manufacturing
of Power Chokes Systems is used to incorporate the operation of diverter valves, subsurface
valves, pneumatic safety valves, blowout preventers, electric motor-driven valves and many
other types of remote-operated equipment into the choke console. Adding these controls
