STANLEY A. SEIDEL<br />
Mr. Seidel enlisted in the United States Army on January 20, 1967. He was on active<br />
duty for three years including one tour in Vietnam with the Fourth Infantry Division in<br />
1968.<br />
After his military service, he attended Union Community College in Cranford, New<br />
Jersey. He transferred to Rutgers University and graduated in 1976 with a B.A. in<br />
History.<br />
Mr. Seidel was selected as the Director, Office of Operations and <strong>Program</strong>s, on<br />
September 26, 1999. His responsibilities included line authority and overall supervision<br />
of the Operations and <strong>Program</strong> staff including VETS field staff. Additionally, Mr. Seidel<br />
provided day-to-day direction for the operation of the National Veterans’ Training<br />
Institute for the development of training plans and needs of VETS staff as well as the<br />
DVOPs and LVERs in the current service delivery systems.<br />
Mr. Seidel voluntarily transferred back to the position of Director for Veterans’<br />
EEmployment l andd TTraining ffor the h state off MMaryland l d in 2002 2002. BBesides d working k on dday-to<br />
day operations, Mr. Seidel was also the Project Lead for an Incarcerated Veterans<br />
Transition <strong>Program</strong> (IVTP) Demonstration Grants operated by the U.S. Department of<br />
Labor. Mr. Seidel has also been involved in several projects to enhance the training of<br />
VETS staff especially dealing with the Homeless Veterans Reintegration <strong>Program</strong><br />
(HVRP) and the Veterans Workforce Investment <strong>Program</strong>.<br />
