Brother James McVeigh, O.S.F. currently<br />

serves as Co-Vicar for Religious in the<br />

Diocese of Rockville Centre. He also serves<br />

on the National Conference of Vicars for<br />

Religious representing the Eastern Region<br />

of the USA. Brother James is active in youth,<br />

campus and young adult ministry and<br />

serves as Franciscan Mission Coordinator<br />

at St. Francis Prep and directs the Franciscan<br />

Youth Movement.<br />

John M. Kennedy, Jr. is currently serving<br />

as a Suffolk County Legislator, Minority<br />

Leader. John graciously invited our new<br />

Celtic Friar Pipe and Drum Band to play<br />

at a September 11th Memorial Service<br />

in Nesconset. He is carrying on the Friar<br />

Tradition in that both of his children,<br />

Brian and Gillian, are graduates of Saint<br />

Anthony’s, classes of 2001 and 2003.<br />

An active parishioner at St. Patrick’s Church in Redding Ridge,<br />

CT, Tom Sullivan was recently honored at their annual golf<br />

outing. The championship trophy was named for him in<br />

appreciation of his position as founder and ten-year veteran<br />

of the outing. Congratulations!<br />

Francis “Jay” Jarvis recently retired after a 32-year career with<br />

the Georgia State Crime laboratory. He made the decision to pursue<br />

a career in forensic science after a field trip to the NYPD crime lab<br />

with Mr. Vilbig in 1973. Jay has been married to his wife Debra<br />

for 29 years, and they have raised twin sons. He looks forward to<br />

working on the golf game he gave up when the twins were born<br />

in 1987.<br />

Greg Ambra and his wife, Julie, are the proud parents of Henry<br />

Gregory Ambra, who arrived on September 25, 2011. The family<br />

resides in Princeton, NJ.<br />

Lara Asher recently completed work as Project Editor for a new<br />

book entitled 9/11: The World Speaks. The book brings together<br />

a choice selection of Tribute WTC Visitor Center cards, many of<br />

which convey much hope and inspiration.<br />

D’Angeli. She worked in Reinwald’s<br />

Bakery in Huntington which inspired her<br />

to attend the Culinary Institute of America.<br />

After graduation she traveled all over the<br />

country learning about local cultures<br />

through food and working as a pastry<br />

chef. Her winnings from The Challenge<br />

enabled her to open her very successful cake design business called<br />

SLiCE. You can view her designs at www.slicecakedesigns.com.<br />

Christine and her husband live in Midland, TX.<br />

Brian Facquet is currently the President and Co-Founder of<br />

Prohibition Distillery, maker of Bootlegger 21 Vodka. Brian and<br />

his partner believe strongly in giving to those less fortunate and<br />

have done work for many charities including St. Jude’s Children’s<br />

Hospital, Cookies for Kids with Cancer, Friends of the Fallen and<br />

Music for Tomorrow. Brian currently resides in New Jersey with his<br />

wife Benat and their beautiful daughter, Amelia.<br />
