New Movax SG-seriesVibratory pile driver and extractor for lighter,9 – 21 ton excavators and backhoesMovax SG-series is the first to represent the newgeneration Movax side-grip technology. Developmentwork started already in 2009 and Movax Lite modularsystem can be held as the ancestor of the SG-series.First goal in creating the SG was to bring Movax alsoto the backhoe –size excavators. New series is markedwith several patents.Modular Movax SG-series piler comes in three versions;- SG-25 for backhoes,- SG-30 for 13-16 ton excavators and- SG-40 for 17-21 ton excavators.These units are replacing the older units SP-30, SP-40Eand SP-40W.Key features1. Easy changing of the pile clamps. The side-gripclamps can be quickly changed on the connection surfaceenabling easy swap from sheet piles or H-beams toround steel or timber piles. Biggest diameter of tubularpile is 457 mm. Adjustable gripping force ensures a firmand safe grip without damaging the pile.2. Light weight (1200kg) design makes handling of thisunit easier also with wheel excavators, railroad vehiclesand backhoes.3. High quality piston motor and other hydraulic componentsare made to work under high pressure. SG-30and SG-40 units can work at full system pressure upto 350 bar on most excavators. SG-25 runs at 220 baron backhoes but even this unit has designed to resist350 bar.4. Smart design. Reliability, safety and user friendlinessare the basis of the design. Hydraulic valves are locatedto a safe yet accessible place under the tilt plate.
