This AD iscurrently being revised.Relevant sustainability issuesWater regulations to address conservation of waterNB: Only some areas of the country are water-poor. <strong>Take</strong> care not to impose unnecessaryrequirements on areas that are water-rich.Recycling of waterCurrent RegulationsSanitary conveniences and washing facilitiesG1. (1) Adequate sanitary conveniences shall be provided in rooms provided for thatpurpose, or in bathrooms. Any such room or bathroom shall be separated from places wherefood is prepared. (2) Adequate washbasins shall be provided in (a) rooms containing waterclosets; or (b) rooms or spaces adjacent to rooms containing water closes. Any such room orspace shall be separated from places where food is prepared. (3) There shall be a suitableinstallation for the provision of hot and cold water to washbasins provided in accordancewith paragraph (2). (4) Sanitary conveniences and washbasins to which this paragraphapplies shall be designed and installed so as to allow effective cleaning.BathroomsG2. A bathroom shall be provided containing either a fixed bath or shower bath and thereshall be a suitable installation for the provision of hot and cold water to the bath or showerbath.Hot water storageG3. A hot water storage system that has a hot water storage vessel which does notincorporate a vent pipe to the atmosphere shall be installed by a person competent to doso, and there shall be precautions – (a) to prevent the temperature of stored water at anytime exceeding 100°C; and (b) to ensure that the hot water discharged from safety devicesis safely conveyed to where it is visible but will not cause danger to persons in or about thebuilding.90 <strong>Stock</strong> <strong>Take</strong>: Delivering improvements in existing housing.
