Remember the Recreation Centre is open to the public for free playwhen the room is not reserved by a group. We have volleyballs, basketballs and floor hockeyequipment available for your use.The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing the community with qualityprogramming. Perhaps you enjoy playing basketball with friends, walking outside on the trails,creating crafts or running on a treadmill. Registration Policies & information for Parks & Recreation Department ProgramsOut of Town User Fees - January to December3Please Read CarefullyThe Town of Renfrew Parks and Recreation Department has and enforces the following“Out of Town USER FEE Policy”This policy affects individuals who’s primary residence is outside the boundaries of the Townshipsand Towns of: Admaston/Bromley, McNab/Braeside and Horton (Children and Youth only), and whohave not entered into an agreement with the Town of Renfrew.If you own a business in Renfrew and your Primary Residence is outside the boundaries of theabove you will be subject to the annual user fee.Individuals wishing to participate in recreation programs who live outside the agreement areasdescribed above are subject to pay the annual user fee to participate in programs and/or activitiesadministered by the Parks and Recreation Department or using facilities owned and operated bythe Town of Renfrew. (Recreation Programs, Minor & Adult Sports Programs)User fees are based on a calendar year and are valid throughout the year only. Residents of Greater Madawaska will be required to pay the Out of Town UsersFees as per the instructions above. If you reside and pay taxes to the Township of Greater Madawaskaand have questions on how this decision affects you, please contact your Township Office.Keep your receipts as you may be eligible for a refund based on the age (Child) of the participant.If you have any questions regarding your area of residence, or your user fee agreements,please contact your township office.The Millennium TrailThe Millennium Trail is an established and popular multi-season recreationfor walkers, joggers, cyclists and is open to snowmobile use in the wintermonths. While encouraging everyone to use the trail, we ask that you practicerespectful behaviour while enjoying your time spent on it.“Leave only Footprints, Take only Memories”Patrons are asked to assist in reporting any maintenance concerns to the Recreation Department,so we can ensure the Millennium Trail is in the best possible conditions.

That motorized snow vehicles may be operated on or across roadways in the Town of Renfrew,provided such use is solely for the purpose of accessing an established snowmobile route in themost direct manner.2. That motorized snow vehicles traveling on the Municipally owned recreational trail known as the‘Millennium Trail’ shall not exceed of 40 km per hour.4.
