Enroll in our liberal studiesprogram for the first two and pay a fraction of the cost ofa four-year college or university. Then transfer your creditsto one of the many schools with which KVCC has credittransferagreements.Unique programsWe offer programs you won’t find anywhere else in Maine,from Electrical Lineworker Technology to Sonography.Graduates of these programs are in demand across theregion, and our close connections with area employersensure the skills we teach are the skills they need. KVCC isalso expanding its training in energy services, technologyand building science and technologies, including photovoltaics,solar thermal, wind power, weatherization andenergy auditing. The skills of the future are being taughthere now.
TRiOKVCC’s TRiO Program enrolls 180eligible students each year and providesservices to help students achieve theirgoals of graduation or transfer.Services may include academic advising,guidance with the financial aidprocess, career exploration, transferassistance, professional learning assistancein math, science and writingcourses, study skill enhancement, andassistance for students with disabilities.The Mickey Marden Centerfor Student SuccessThe Marden Center provides a range offree services for all students, includingpeer tutoring, a small computer labwith assistive technology, and theopportunity to borrow calculators andtape recorders. Free peer tutoring isavailable in many subjects.
