1990construction underwayAlumni SpotlightThe 1990 Class ReunionThe Class of 1990 celebrated its 20th reunion this school year, and by connecting on Facebook and holdingseveral conference calls, members of the class gathered earlier this semester to celebrate Liberty and theirfriendship. “Many of us have stayed close during the past 20 years,” said Shanda (Spain) Dame, alumna. “Itwas worth the effort to have a class reunion.”On the first day of the reunion, the class met at the Main Event for a family night. The next day, classmembers met at the Liberty campus and were given a tour by Dr. Martin Noto, whom many of them hadas a teacher. That evening they had dinner off the square in Denton, and alumna Heather (Norman) Talanprovided a slideshow of homecoming, their 1990 senior trip to Acapulco, and other photos that showed theirlife at Liberty.“Liberty was fundamental in helping me create a successful life,” said Dame. “It provided a great foundationfor me personally and spiritually. It reinforced my belief system and the Christian principles that guide mylife decisions and choices today. Liberty also equipped me with the discipline and knowledge to pursuea higher education, and it provided lasting friendships that have been a constant support to me during thepast 20 years. Liberty is truly a place that creates an environment that prepares students spiritually andacademically.”2010Academic and Athletic ExpansionIn keeping Liberty at the forefrontof education, you will begin to seecontractors during the summerbreaking ground on the followingsummer campus expansion!• The academic project will provide eightadditional classrooms in the Middle and UpperSchool.
