Letter from the President and DirectorDear Friends,This year has been an extraordinary one for us all as wehave watched our community’s dream become reality.Excavation for our two-story addition began just at thestart of July 2004 and we were on the verge of a moveinto those new quarters as the year ended in June 2005.Watching the new Wilton Library grow from the needsexpressed in surveys and focus groups to architect Tai SooKim’s penciled sketch on a napkin to the professionallyexecuted design and construction documents and modelto the spaces we were to occupy was thrilling.But even as we watch the walls, windows, floors and doorsmaterialize, we realize anew that our excitement is lessfor the spectacular building than it is for the exceptionalservices, collections and programs that building will allowus to deliver. Community input and support over the pastfour years has enabled us to expand.
