DANAOS ANNOUNCES THAT THE YEAR 2006 WAS THE BEST
EVER IN TERMS OF SALES AND SUCCESSFUL PROJECT
IMPLEMENTATIONS
Danaos Maritime InformationTechnology Group (“Danaos”) is pleased to
announce that the past year 2006 was the best ever in the following areas:
• Best ever in new sales, exceeding over 70% the average sales figures of the
previous years. 32 new customers have acquired the Danaos software solution
in the past year alone.
• Best ever in number of successful completion of implementations. Large fleets
of new customers have been successfully completed within a few months,
such as E.R. Schiffahrt GmbH (over 65 vessels) and Kuwait Oil Tanker Co
S.A.K. (over 25 vessels).
• In total over 150 vessels have used the new Maritime Outsourcing services
offered by our Danaos India Services subsidiary for Planned Maintenance
setup, Class Approvals, Spare Parts and onboard implementations.
• The vast majority of the Greek shipping companies listed in New York Stock
Exchange are using the Danaos Financial package to comply with the
Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements (over 10 NYSE and NASDAQ listed
shipping companies are Danaos customers, including some of the largest in
their respective field).
• The Danaos Info@Gate comprehensive communications and document
management solution, now enhanced with a link to the BlackBerry service,
is gradually being adopted by major shipping and shipbroking companies
world-wide (such as Gibson and Clarkson Hellas Ltd).
• Danaos continues its strong dedication to pioneering R&D on projects cofinanced
by the European Union. One such completed project, the Danaos
SeaRoutes novel service for optimal vessel routing and reduced fuel
consumption, is now being introduced to the market.
