Fixed Gas Monitoring SystemGMA 100 IIFlexible, customizable, and economicalMicroprocessor controlled for all monitoring tasksEasy to operateWorldwide manufacturer of gas detection solutions

Stationary Gas MonitorGMA 100 IIStationary gasmonitoring systemsIn many industrial operations, toxicor combustible gases and vapors oroxygen deficiency can be hazardous topersonnel and disruptive to production.Even small amounts of some materialscan cause dangerous situations. Bothlegal regulations and your responsibilityto your workers demand continuous, responsive and reliable monitoring forsuch dangerous gases. Only a fixedgas warning system like the GMA 100 IIprovides the security of round-the-clockgas monitoring without the expense ofmanual measurement by your staff.Control module GMA 100IIThe GMA 100 II stationary gas warningsystem is comprised of a controlmodule and a remote sensor (MWG).The sensor continuously monitors thegas concentration and sends a signal viacable to the GMA 100 II control modulefor evaluation. The GMA 100 II constantlymonitors its own operational status andpowers the remote sensor.Immediate recognitionand warning of gashazardsThe GMA 100 II provides three alarm levelsthat can be used to initiate appropriateresponses to gas hazards. The pre-alarm, for example, warns of low gasconcentrations, indicating leaks, beforedangerous situations occur. The othertwo main alarm thresholds indicate directdanger requiring immediate action. Alarmlevels can be variably adjusted within thedetection range and adapted to changingrequirements. Every threshold canbe set to latching/non-latching andresettable/non-resettable alarm points.Quick reaction meansincreased safetyEvery control module provides optionalvoltage-free relays for the three alarmsand for fault warning. The relays maybe used for controlling external alarmdevices like beacons or buzzers, orthey can activate specific countermeasures(closing valves or turningon a fan) to eliminate the danger fromgases or vapors. The GMA 100 II is flexible enough toaccommodate your individual requirements.Every relay can be either anormally closed (NC) or normally open(NO) contact, and works in either closedor open circuit operation.Everything at a glanceA three-digit LED display indicates thepresent gas concentration. Dependingon the measurement task, the readoutis presented in ppm, mg/m 3 , percentLEL or percent volume. AdditionalLEDs indicate operational status, alarm or failure. You can easily seeall measurement values at a glancefor complete control of the wholehazardous area.Easy handlingA keypad controls the display ofdetection range, gas and units. Relayscanbe controlled and checked individually. No special tools or instruments are

equired. Alarm levels and calibrationare set with pushbutton menu control—mechanical fine tuning with potentiometersis a thing of the past.Single or collective alarmThe GMA RB relay module and the GMASW key-operated switch allow you togroup several control modules. Thekey-operated switch suppresses alarmsduring servicing. In addition to the collective alarm, eachcontroller can have four relays whichcan activate or deactivate electricaldevices such as exhaust fans, valves, alarm horns or lights.Combustible gasesWhere combustible gases may buildup to explosive concentrations,GfG Instrumentation offers a variety ofmonitoring techniques.Toxic gasesSpecially selected GfG sensors providereliable monitoring of areas where toxicgases and vapors may be present.OxygenElectrochemical sensors ensure reliableprotection from hazards caused byoxygen deficiency or surplus.GfG’s remote sensors are available formore than 100 gases. Every remotesensor can be connected to the GMA100 II. A simple calibration with a laptoprapidly configures the GMA 100 II toalmost all requirements.Monitoring fourdetection pointssimultaneously:GMA 100/4The model GMA 100/4 has all the featuresof the GMA 100 II, and can operatefour remote sensors simultaneouslyon one control module. This allowsthe configuration of a low-cost andProtected againstpower failureIn case of a power failure, the optional230 Back-Up▲battery back-up NAV takes over automaticallyand without delay to preservesafety. The NAV slides directly into therack; no additional wiring is required.More than 100 GfGsensors—safety for allgas hazardsGfG Instrumentation’s array of powerfuland dependable remote sensors (MWG)provide a safe and reliable solution forindividual detection tasks.Ex Ox Tox24V / 12V0,2 1 mA4...20 mA▲SensorModuleCPU▲Power supply for MWGSignal input from MWGOutput▲ ▲ ▲ ▲ ▲ ▲DisplayAlarm 1Alarm 2Alarm 3Opera-Fault▲ ▲▲▲ ▲Alarm 1 Alarm 2 Alarm 3 Fault 4...20 mA
