Matthew is aseventh grade honor rollstudent at Fisher Middle Schoolin Los Gatos. In his free time,Matthew enjoys playing a varietyof sports, including baseball andbasketball, football and golf,playing board games andspending time with his friends.In an effort to share theseinterests with those lessfortunate, Matthew will becollecting sports equipment andgames to donate to localchildren’s charities including the Family Supportive Housing Inc. andthe Santa Clara County Children’s Center in San Jose. His parasha,Emor, discusses equality and fairness. Matthew is the secondgeneration to become a Bar Mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El, where hisgrandparents have been members for many years. His family is veryproud of him!Kelsey Hurwitz is a seventhgrader at Miller Middle School.Her Torah portion is aboutsome good and bad things thatwill happen to you if you obeyor disobey God. For hermitzvah project, Kelsey had abake sale and has done manyother things in an effort to raisemoney to donate to the SanJose Police Department CanineUnit to buy a bullet proof vestfor one of the dogs. Her hobbiesinclude soccer, photography andswimming. She would very much like to thank her grandparents,aunts, uncles and cousins for coming out from across the country tosupport her on her special Bat Mitzvah day on May 16. Her lovingand honored parents are Walter and Robin Hurwitz.Mitchell Reisner completedhis basic training inthe U.S. Army. Mitchell willbe studying AdvancedIndividual Training in MilitaryIntelligence at Fort Huachuca,Arizona and is planning a careerin the CIA or FBI. He is agraduate of San Jose State. Hisproud parents are David &Harriet Reisner.
