tions is the four-hour Harvey Rogers MemorialEnduro. And June will see two CR events that weexpect local hot shoes to show up for: The raceat NJMP’s Thunderbolt circuit early that month;and by popular demand, a return engagement atVIR the weekend of June 21-23, which will be runin partnership with the PCA. And the vintage guyswill be looking to Mid-Ohio as well.On the other hand, ‘local’ NASA events (i.e.those run by the Mid-Atlantic and SoutheastRegions) appear to have been totally ignoredby local hot shoes these past couple of months.True, it looks like the ‘Lap Dance’ run annuallyby the Mid-Atlantic guys at VIR in February wascanceled, probably due to weather. And also true, their ‘March Madness’ last month at VIR againwas way past our deadline, but the event’s entrantroster didn’t include a single local driver. Similarly, local hot shoes were MIA at the Southeast’s‘Meltdown’ at CMP in February; and that region’s‘Pot o’ Gold Rush’ at Road Atlanta last monthalso didn’t list any of our guys on its roster. Gofigure.Meanwhile, early last month, Team BimmerWorld(BW) resumed its assault on the StreetTuner (ST) class in Round Two of the Grand-AmContinental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC)series at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) tracknear Austin. The new venue wasn’t all that kind toTeam BW, or to most other BMW teams in the STrace for that matter. The best ST showing for a BMW was the podiumfinish, in third place, by the Burton Racingteam of Terry Borcheller and Mike LaMarra intheir 128i. As for Team BW, the best they managedwas an eighth-place finish by their newest duo,Greg Strelzoff and Connor Bloum in the No.80car. Dan Rogers and Seth Thomas finished tenthin the No.82 328i. But Greg Liefooghe and TylerCooke ended up 31st in a 33-car ST field due to anengine that went kaput on them halfway throughthe race.
