4 Contextualising Gandhian ThoughtRam Chandra Pradhan is a well-known academician andsocial activist. He received various national and Internationalfellowships including Senior Fulbright Fellow (1979-80) andan Indo-Canadian Shastri Fellow (1993). He taught at RamjasCollege, University of Delhi for four decades from1966-2005.He is currently a member of the teaching faculty ofthe Institute of Gandhian Studies, Wardha. His recentpublications Raj to Swaraj: A Textbook on Colonialism andNationalism in India, Raj Se Swaraj (Hindi), Reading andReappraising Gandhi has been published by Macmillian. Served as avisiting faculty of the Summer University programmes ofUniversity of Terre-du-ciel, Bruallies, France (2006).
