As well, conductor Helmuth Rilling, pianistKrystian Zimerman, violinist Gil Shaham, cellist LynnHarrell, and jazz pianists Oliver Jones and GeorgeShearing performed on the <strong>NAC</strong> stages. Also noteworthywas an all-Canadian Messiah led by MarioBernardi, the return of former Music DirectorGabriel Chmura, the reunion of Trevor Pinnock andpianist Grigory Sokolov, and a rare performance ofthe complete Peer Gynt led by Principal GuestConductor Franz-Paul Decker.> The successful fund-raising gala which featuredsoprano Jessye Norman also represented an importantfirst for the <strong>Centre</strong>, and is expected to becomea valuable event in annual fund-raising efforts.* Total revenues in Music, Theatre and Dance and Varietyrefer only to Box Office revenues7
