Montpellier, July 3-4, 2012<br />
The Global Rice Round table meeting will start at 9.30 hours on 3 July 2012 in Le<br />
Corum, Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, Montpellier. Registration will open at 8.30 AM.<br />

From the airport to hotels<br />
Practical information<br />
The easiest way is to take a taxi when you go out of the airport (cost between 20 and 40 €<br />
depending on the day and time of arrival and the traffic). This cost is included in the lump<br />
sum you will receive. We will organize and pay for the taxi back to the airport.<br />
You have also the possibility to take a shuttle leaving you at the Antigone area (cost around 2<br />
€). From here, Citadines hotel is 200 meters up the tramway line 1 (blue one); and to join<br />
Holiday Inn, you can take the tramway line 1 direction “Mosson” until the “Gare st Roch” stop<br />
(5 stops).<br />

From the hotel to the Corum conference Center<br />
You can either:<br />
- walk 10 minutes from your hotel<br />
- or take the tramway line 1 and step down at<br />
“Corum” stop (blue one – direction Mosson - 2 stops<br />
from Holiday Inn, 5 stops from Citadines)<br />
In both cases, the reception desks of the hotels will<br />
be able: available to show you on a map how to<br />

Information on Montpellier<br />
Montpellier is the capital of the region of Languedoc-Roussillon. Only seven kilometers from<br />
the sea, the city lies midway between Spain and Italy in the heart of the Mediterranean basin.<br />

Weather is very hot at the moment (around 36°C at day and 20°C at night).<br />
Banking and credit cards Banks are open gener<strong>all</strong>y from 9:00 to 16:30 with a break at<br />
lunch time, from Monday to Friday. Cash machines can be found almost everywhere, even in<br />
the Corum conference center (level 0).<br />
Shopping Most shops are open from 9 or 10 am until 7 pm. On Sunday shops are closed.<br />
Restaurants A large variety of restaurants and cafés are scattered throughout Montpellier,<br />
with a very large offer downtown. Some of them are opened late at night. Prices for a menu<br />
