Based upon similar platforms the exceptionaland ground breaking performance level deliveredby both the LA4 and LA8 allow for fulloptimization of all L-ACOUSTICS system resourcesand deliver outstanding audio quality combinedwith the best possible transducer protection.Both units offer an integrated approach by combiningthe most advanced amplification, signal processing,network remote control and monitoringtechnologies currently available, and are pre-configuredfor digital multi-channel audio networking.In addition, a powerful and upgradable operatingsystem with an intuitive user interface provides ahigh level of “hands on” system control withoutsacrificing accurate and fast operation under realworld conditions.Packaged in a compact 2U lightweight format chassis,both the LA4 and LA8 platforms are derivative ofthe same basic design and share the followingcharacteristics:• A four-channel high efficiency amplifier sectionfed by two inputs, offering a power levelmatching for L-ACOUSTICS loudspeaker systems.• A DSP section featuring advanced filteralgorithms and an exclusive L-DRIVE protectionsystem for the transducers allowing for optimumsystem performance.• A complete onboard preset library stored in 99memory locations to cover all the principalL-ACOUSTICS loudspeaker system configurations.• An intuitive and ergonomic user interface, fullyaccessible from the front panel for standaloneoperation.• Two I/O Ethernet ports for networking of up to253 units.• The complementary PC-based LA NETWORKMANAGER software (Windows® compatible) withremote network monitoring and control of theLA4 and LA8 units.• A rear-panel plug-in card slot for future multichanneldigital audio networkingimplementation.Specific features of the LA4 and LA8 include:• The LA4 delivers up to 4 x 1000 Wattsinto 4 ohms.• The LA8 delivers up to 4 x 1800 Wattsinto 4 ohms.• Speaker output connectors are specificto each platform.• Each unit carries its own on board presetlibrary specific to the power requirements ofL-ACOUSTICS loudspeaker systems.All L-ACOUSTICS loudspeaker systems now benefitfrom the advanced and exclusive properties of theLA4 and LA8 control platforms.
