While theVoyager layout, construction materials anddesign have altered a huge amount over theintervening 30 years, the basic premise thatlies behind the 2002 relaunched Voyagername remains exactly the same.This is a trailerable family cruiser that is idealfor weekend on-board camping andextended cruising. It can be towedcomfortably by a standard six cylinderfamily car.The 2002 model Voyager 580 has beendesigned and engineered with advancedcomputer aided design systems. Theoutcome is a superb layout that makesexceptional use of every square centimeterof space on board.Basic features include full-length, paddedvee bunks, completely lined cabin andmoulded cabin liner for a clean, flowthroughfeel. You will feel at ease on yourweekender with deep sink unit, singleburner stove, pressurised water system,Esky/ice chest and a hand held shower.The Voyager also includes as standardequipment a built in marine toilet.An aft teak timber table folds out and agalley storage area provides a purpose builtfacility for essential cutlery.This is the first Whittley to be developedfrom Whittley’s state-of-the-art designhouse. Using Alias design software andSilicon Graphics hardware, Whittley Marinehas been able to apply computer modelingto produce the most advanced, bestperforming hull ever.A different chine and strake layout hasresulted in improved lift, reduced drag andsuperior handling. On the water, the 19°deadrise hull is exceptionally stable at restand delivers a smooth ride even underbumpy conditions.The Voyager is available in your choice oftwo stroke or four stroke outboard or petrolor diesel sterndrive.This is an advanced boat that utilises thevery latest in modern design andconstruction technology.
