While the familiar voice coming from
the familiar face on a 45-inch video mon-
Frank Irby is in another part of the build-
ing watching one of 14 discs turn on a
console that looks like a prop from a
science-fiction movie.
Irby, a stocky, young man in sport
shin and glasses who has the pleasant
but intense air of a college professor, is
making sure Mr. Hope's speech, like its
interruption in a few minutes by what
appears to be the landing of a flying
saucer, goes as planned.
Irby has one of the world's most fasci-
nating "furit" jobs. He's the technical
director at Enterprise Square, USA.
