With the alarming number of teenagersand young adults addicted to drugs in our community, it is our wish to make you better informed of this serious andimmediate concern to the youth in the Fox Chase Community. Whether they hang out at the center or in the neighboringcommunity, drugs are very much available to them – prescription drugs like percoset, oxycotin, and others.Drug use and the addiction may be prevented if you are aware and pro active regarding drugs and alcohol. We,at the center are concerned and want to keep you informed of these dangers. We hope you will talk often to your children, check out their companions, visit their local hang outs and speak more often about the use of drugs. Some of the evidence is hidden—you don’t usually see it or smell it – the child or young adult doesn’t comehome late- seems pretty normal but he/she could still be taking drugs. If someone tells you that there are drugs beingused by friends of your children or young people at the Rec. Center, BELIEVE THEM AND TAKE THE PROPERACTION.
