Dry Cleaning and Laundry Industry Award 2010A.7 Loadings and penalty rates – no existing loading or penalty rateA.7.1A.7.2A.7.3A.7.4The following transitional arrangements apply to an employer not covered byclause A.5 or A.6 in relation to a particular loading or penalty in this award.Prior to the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2010 the employer need not pay theloading or penalty in this award.From the following dates the employer must pay no less than the followingpercentage of the loading or penalty in this award:First full pay period on or after1 July 2010 20%1 July 2011 40%1 July 2012 60%1 July 2013 80%These provisions cease to operate from the beginning of the first full pay period on orafter 1 July 2014.28 MA000096 This award does not come into force until 1 January 2010
Dry Cleaning and Laundry Industry Award 2010Schedule B—Dry Cleaning ClassificationsB.1 Dry cleaning employee Level 1An employee who is below the level of a tradesperson dry cleaner and is not withinLevels 2 to 4.B.2 Dry cleaning employee Level 2An employee who is employed as:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)a wet cleaner;a steam air finisher;an examiner of garments;an assembler of garments; ora sorter of garments.B.3 Dry cleaning employee Level 3An employee who is employed as:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)a repairer (other than a tailor or tailoress);a spotter presser (off-set press);a hand ironer receiver and/or dispatcher;a presser;a receiver and dispatcher in charge (namely a person in charge of a depot andresponsible for the keeping of records and responsible for cash); ora cleaner (operating dry cleaning machine).B.4 Dry cleaning employee Level 4An employee who is employed as:(a)(b)an invisible mender; ora tailor or tailoress.B.5 Dry cleaning employee Level 5B.5.1B.5.2An employee who is employed as a tradesperson dry cleaner.An employee who is required to be solely accountable for all aspects of aself-contained dry cleaning establishment including the receiving of garments andarticles, the cleaning, spotting, pressing, packaging and dispatch of garments andarticles, the handling of monies, the keeping of records and maintenance of theestablishment will be classified as a Dry cleaning employee Level 5 and paidaccordingly.MA000096 This award does not come into force until 1 January 2010 29
