It’s the onlyprogram available that allows the patients to incorporate theirinvolved hand functionally for grasp and release, task-specificactivities that are volitionally based. (You use the muscles inyour hand to activate the orthosis.) It was created by licensedoccupational therapists that have methodically worked toincorporate the latest neurological research into a practicalevidence-based treatment program. Its main purpose is to help you perform early initiation offunctional grasp and release activities with your involved armand hand. This is accomplished by using Saebo’s FunctionalDynamic orthoses. These revolutionary orthoses will allowyou to immediately use your hand and arm in therapy and athome which would otherwise be impossible. The orthoses maystimulate new functional gains in your hand and throughout yourentire arm.P r o g r a mO V E R V I E WEssentially, the Saebo Arm Training Program involves twoareas of focus:Paul adds, “Mr. Hoffman,I hope you get the ideathat, with the exceptionof Price, my wife andI are happy with ourdecision to use the Saeboorthosis. So please acceptour thanks for inventingit. Job well done!”• Task-specific activities while using Saebo’s FunctionalDynamic orthoses in therapy and at home• Soft tissue management using the SaeboStretchIn the case of soft tissue management, we’re referring tothe muscles, tendons and ligaments in your hand. When thehand is allowed to remain in the closed position, most peopleexperience a permanent shortening of this tissue. If notaddressed, your recovery will be limited. The comprehensiveSaebo program incorporates all critical areas of upperextremity recovery.Paul Grunthalt - Longmeadow, MAStroke Survivor
