Fee received at DNSP.• Request applicant <strong>to</strong> provide further information asreasonably required <strong>to</strong> assess the application.• Evaluate connection requirements and prepare costestimation for augmentation. Check for paymentprocess and timing.• Advise applicant of a decision <strong>to</strong> accept or rejectconnection for network access as submitted inapplication (30 business days).• If network connection is accepted advise applican<strong>to</strong>f their risks and obligations.• Prepare a fair and reasonable offer <strong>to</strong> connect fornetwork services and required network augmentation.Step 4: Connection agreement and genera<strong>to</strong>r installationTask: Formalise agreements and complete installation.• Accept the offer <strong>to</strong> connect from DNSP.• Submit all design details and data.• Negotiate the connection agreement based on the offer<strong>to</strong> connect as agreed.• Connection agreement established.• Installation of genera<strong>to</strong>r and all necessary extensions /augmentation.• Review and approval of applicant’s design dataand drawings.• Design of DNSP network extension / augmentation.• Negotiate the connection agreement based on theoffer <strong>to</strong> connect as agreed.• Formalisation of agreements including protectioncoordination and opera<strong>to</strong>r coordination.Step 5: Inspection and commissioningTask: Achieve successful connectionWhen installation / construction is complete:• ESV conducts an electrical safety inspection of theinstallation.• All tests carried out, in the presence of the DNSP andlive connection <strong>to</strong> network achieved.• Genera<strong>to</strong>r plant commissioning undertaken.• Inspection of cus<strong>to</strong>mer’s installation.• Approval of cus<strong>to</strong>mer’s commissioning testprocedures and operating procedures.• Attendance at commissioning tests.Genera<strong>to</strong>r connected and commissionedFigure 4.
