Not Scheduling “Official” SoCal Fly-ins for Now-- Between my work lifeand family medical matters, I cannot reliably plan to lead any SoCal fly-ins for now. OurWing Leader, Gary Dallugge at KCMA, has been continuing to lead a group from thatarea, and going flying, but I don’t usually hear about it until too late to get word out toyou all. So I suggest that SoCal ‘Coupers phone Gary (805) 300-5349 to find outwhere they are flying, if you’d like company. NorCal ‘Coupers continue to flytogether; see the schedule Buzz puts out, below. Long-time Ariz. Ercouper & friend to many in our club, Fred Cooper, has been inthe hospital. Wife JoAn Cooper has been sending email updates to those on her list. Atthis writing, Fred is out of ICU and they are talking about rehab facilities, but (in JoAn’swords) “he has been a yo-yo in his condition.” She thanks everyone for the concernand support expressed. I originally planned to fly out on Wednesday, but the weather and workwere both bad that Wednesday & Thursday. As Friday dawned with clearing from therain, I was up and ready to go, but there were several contradictory elements in the

online weather forecasts, and during my conversation with Flight Watch, she interjectedthat a water spout has just been reported offshore of LGB (!) and opined that the wxwas deteriorating, rather than improving. Another hour confirmed her forecast, so I setout by road instead.
