Overview <strong>of</strong> the pharma CityGoAP <strong>in</strong>itiated a sector specific <strong>in</strong>dustrial park for Pharma <strong>and</strong> Bulk Drug Industries,to be developed under PPP model on BOO basis.A Public – Private Partnership <strong>in</strong>itiative by the Government <strong>of</strong> Andhra Pradesh <strong>and</strong>Ramky Group to develop Pharma City as an exclusive hub <strong>of</strong> Bulk Drug,Pharmaceuticals, Chemical <strong>and</strong> Allied Industries.Ramky Group won the global bidd<strong>in</strong>g on a BOO basis <strong>and</strong> M/s APIIC has identified<strong>and</strong> allotted 971.66 ha. for development.M/s APIIC (Andhra Pradesh <strong>Industrial</strong> Infrastructure cooperation) <strong>and</strong> Ramky Grouphave formed a consortium to launch a Special Purpose Vehicle “ M/s RamkyPharma City (India) Limited” Pharma City was named as Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City by Government <strong>of</strong>Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.
