He has worked s<strong>in</strong>ce 1998 aslead golf writer for The Pilot newspaper<strong>in</strong> Southern P<strong>in</strong>es/P<strong>in</strong>ehurst,and has free-lanced for <strong>Golf</strong>week,<strong>Golf</strong> World and <strong>Golf</strong> Magaz<strong>in</strong>e, aswell as for newspapers <strong>in</strong> GreatBrita<strong>in</strong> and Canada.He's covered 22 Masters, sevenU.S. Men's Opens, three PGA Championships,three U.S. Women'sOpens, two U.S. Amateur Championships,two PGA Tour Championshipsand one LPGAChampionship. In addition, he hascovered scores of other PGA andLPGA events as well as Carol<strong>in</strong>as<strong>Golf</strong> Association, CPGA Sectionevents and numerous local events.Ward was editor of the <strong>Golf</strong>Record of the Carol<strong>in</strong>as for eightyears; member of the Carol<strong>in</strong>a <strong>Golf</strong>Reporters Association s<strong>in</strong>ce 1970and served as vice-president <strong>in</strong> 1979and president <strong>in</strong> 1980. While an officerwith the CGRA the Carol<strong>in</strong>as<strong>Golf</strong> Hall of Fame was organizedand Ward served on the Hall of Fameselection committee through 2008.Scott Hoch was born <strong>in</strong> Raleigh<strong>in</strong> 1955 and graduated from WakeForest University <strong>in</strong> 1978, turn<strong>in</strong>gprofessional <strong>in</strong> 1979. Hoch won 11times on the PGA Tour, play<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>644 events and mak<strong>in</strong>g 498 cuts. Histotal w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>gs were $18,530,156.S<strong>in</strong>ce jo<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g the PGA ChampionsTour, Hoch has won three times,earn<strong>in</strong>g $2,948,704.
