ASP-1 Stabilized Platform
A Wehrli/GeoSystem Instrument
The ASP-1 base plate is mounted to a strong adapter plate that is connected to the aircraft. Dedicated vibration
isolators on the base plate are used to eliminate high frequency vibrations.
The scanning devise is mounted on top of two port plates. These two plates work in combination to compensate
for pitch, roll and yaw. A large bearing and high dynamic precision ball spindles are used for this purpose.
With direct input from the IMU/GPS system and flight management system coupled with the robust kinematic
design, the accuracy achieved is nearly 5 times better than the conventional gyro based platforms.
