He emphasizedthe need to "meet and beat deadlines,"and, as you can see fromthis photo, some of our Seniorstook him seriously and are nowsmiling happily as a result.Each of the Seniors shown hassubmitted at least one college application.They are feeling welldeservedrelief, not only becausepart of the daunting process is behindthem, but also because nowthey know that they can "do it!"*and here is your extra creditquestion: What is the source <strong>for</strong>this article's header?...to Rabbi Uri Goldstein of our Jewish History Department, and his wife Mrs. Julie Goldstein, who welcomeda baby girl to their family Friday night, October 23. The baby is named ליאל שחר (Lielle Shachar),and her English name is Ella Dawn.7to Mr. Alan Deaett of our History Department,who was honored by Glen Rock<strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>for</strong> his many contributions tothe school and its students. He worked atGlen Rock <strong>for</strong> 44 years and was headfootball coach <strong>for</strong> two successful terms;from 1967-75 and from 1995-2008. Inrecognition of his coaching so manyteams to victory, the Glen Rock footballfield was renamed in his honor this October(see photo at left).
