<strong>ASSA</strong> <strong>FD40</strong><strong>Door</strong> Closer for Fire- and Smoke Separating <strong>Door</strong>sApplication<strong>ASSA</strong> fire door <strong>closer</strong>s meet the requirements for most typesof fire doors. They are well-suited for controling one or morefire-rated doors e.g. in hospitals, apartment buildings for theelderly, day-care centres, hotels, public areas and industrialcomplexes. Fire doors in a building with fire cells mustfunction if a fire breaks out to facilitate for both emergencyexiting and for fire department. Areas that require doorswith hold-open device should have some kind ofelectromechanical hold-open function combined withsmoke detectors and/or be connected to an automatic firealarm. In the case of fire or smoke development, a smokedetector and/or fire alarm the control unit will release theelectromechanical hold-open device.
